Eeek.

And now I remember why I never changed my name four years ago.  Well, at least one of the reasons I never did.  Just looking at this list makes me want to vomit.  Why are there so many fees?  Why does it have to be so complicated?  Why will this take weeks to actually finish?  Why will I not be able to travel in the interim?  Why will I now have to change junk with our car, house, insurance, etc? Why did I want to do this in the first place...

I agree--it's very annoying and complicated process. It will continue being annoying for like a year after you change it. I still have plenty of accounts I haven't changed because it's a pain. But get the official part over with and you can change the other ones as they come.

You and I both made the same move DOWN the alphabet to the W section. My kids will not know the joys of being at the top of the list. That is a serious bummer!

So I just wrote a post related to my maiden name and nearly titled it "Eeek." Too funny.

And it does suck. The worst is that it seems you never fully "change" it. Changing your passport is most frustrating. If you want to get a passport you you've changed your name, you have to have like 5 forms of identification. I guess it's a good thing?

Oh Taylor! And I thought I was the only only one after 4 years of marriage hadn't changed her name. Let me tell you, it was awful. Especially with 2 kids in tow at California DMV and Social Security Offices. Awful. Seriously, one of the most complicated endeavors ever.
